Draconic Reactor Experimentation

I decided to play around with the draconic reactor in a test world and do some informal experimentation. I've made the following findings. First the more obvious (the stuff that comes in the manual):
  • The field will take as much RF as you pour into it. You should regulate the rate that RF is fed to the containment field to avoid waste.
  • RF will be extracted as quickly as the load demands. This will cause the energy saturation to drop, speeding up the reaction and raising the...

Hey, so I ordered some hardware and plan to set up an infinity evolved server for me and my friends, but it seems the hardware wont be here for a week, but I want to play right away :) Got nothing else to do right now, so I was wondering how the best way to do that is.

Lets say I start a singleplayer world, can that world be converted to a multiplayer world for when I set up the server? Or is there a different way of doing it?

hi, i'm currently working on a relatively light, kitchen sink, exploration and steampunk themed pack. this pack will be played and recorded by a number of very small you tubers but also on a small smp server. However i am quite pleased with the development and concepts so far and quite a few people have expressed interest in playing it.

[Forestry] Sinister bees?

I've read that if you breed a Pure Modest with a Pure Cultivated, you unlock the Sinister Bee branch. So far I've breed 10 Modest with 10 Cultivated and only gotten hybrid Cultivated. I'm wondering if I misunderstood or have been misguided in the breeding of the two species.

I DO NOT have Extra Bees installed but from what I read on the guide, Sinister comes from just the Forestry mod.

Pre-emptive: I'm at work and haven't read the manual. If there's an online copy of the manual which has the info I want, I'll just quietly apologize and go read that instead.

Minecraft server - Port fowarding not working

I have been working on fixing this one issue for a WHILE... I am trying to set up a minecraft server, but the problem is, when I port fowarded, every website I visited that checks if the port is fowarded says that 25565 is closed. I have tried everything : I tried allowing the port through the firewall, tried putting the IP into the server ip spot in the server.properties file... okay, lets just say I tried a LOT of stuff.. Nothing seems to be working. Every website I visit just says 25565...

MFR harvester focuses only on leaves

this is what my harvester leaves. which is exactly the opposite of what i want. i want it to cut the wood down. not cut the leaves down, and by the time it has finished that tree's leaves another tree has grown and by then it needs to cut those leaves down.
i cant feed the harvester 500rf/t, but atleast i feed it 50rf/t.
why does it focus on leaves, and how can i make it the harvester useful again?
ive got a void pipe for the sludge.

Hello, so I am hosting a FTB Infinity Evolved server for me and some friends, and I was just wondering how I can restrict access to /back (and possibly every other command that is "cheaty"). While we could go with the trust system and just not use any commands, I'd rather just remove them all together.

I have been looking through configs and I have almost googled myself to death without finding out how. I guess I could install Forge Essentials and do some kind of permission deal, and I...

i have my generators produce 4k rf/t and i made a tessaract but for some reason when i plug the tesseract to the power input of the excavator, the power is draining but the machine it self doesn't work, it is not moving or mining any ore , i tried to use breaker switch but it still did nothing except draining power... i'm getting frustrated , PLEASE help.

i have a bit of a problem converting my Mob Essence to Liquid Xp

my initial plan where to make my AE systems autocraft and input glass bottles to my Auto-Enchanter with a Tank feeding mob essence to it and then output to a Fluid Transposer which would empty them and output Liquid Xp to another Tank

But the Fluid Transposer will not accept Bottle o' Enchanting

i know theres a setup with a vacuum hopper and dispenser but i would rather not use that method because of my AE system will just...

So recently got back into playing modded minecraft / direwolf pack (and minecraft again). And I am still surprised no one is recommending charcoal for power generation in early - mid game, especially considering how fast oak grows and how many resources it gives you. I did not come up with everything my self though, I saw a video some years ago of someone using harvester, planter and I think steam dynamo or similar. I figured I take that for a spin.

Hey guys, I'm one of the (maybe few) people who've been playing FTB since it was released. While I do take long breaks of it a lot, I always end up coming back to try the new modpacks. I've had similar issues with almost every single modpack released however, but FTB Infinity Expert mode seems to solve these. My #1 issue was how the mods would cooperate with eachother as far as progressing towards certain goals in the game, where it was clear that certain mods would allow you to progress to...

The story;

I have the direwolf20 pack, with some of Reika's mods added. I have the latest version of the dw20 pack (ver 1.10.0). I have updated forge when I updated forestry, and aobd. However there is an issue with Binnies mods, and getting them to work. Without it, it works fine, with it, constant crash.

Binnies version - 2.0-pre14
Forestry - 4.2.3.51
Aobd - 2.8.4

This is the only mod I am missing, and would appreciate any help that you guys can...

Anyone know what is causing this crash, and how to fix?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to power my friction heater with 8 AC Electric Engines (I am eary-game). Because Shaft Junctions can't merge more than 4 times the average power (see Handbook), I built it like you can see in the picture. But when I turn the Timer on (2 Ticks), the Shaft Junction indicated by the red glass explodes. Everything else workes just fine, the engines are producting the expected amount of W. There's always some nifty little thing I find out about a mod or item when building stuff, and none of them are really worth a thread in themselves. So let's just have one thread for all of them :p

Today I found out that a magnum torch doesn't disable vanilla mob spawners. So I can have my oreberry darkroom free of mobs while being right next to the mob grinder I made in my basement, free of the possibility of the torch interfering with my mob essence collecting :)

I have iron chests, barrels, translocators and golems (Thaumcraft). I've no idea where to go from here.
I've never really created something as intricate as an inventory management system and google is failing me at this moment. What do you think is the best system to use?

Which ores does gregtech generates?

You know that gregtech support almost all kinds of ores. For this reason, I tried to disable other mods(a.k.a. IC2, buildcraft, forestry...) ore generation for harder games. But i don't know that how many ores that gregtech supports to generate. Please help
